Blackboard Course Access Dates

Access Dates - Summer 2025

Below are important Blackboard course access dates, as they relate to the upcoming Summer 2025 term: 

• March 28, 2025: Course copy process begins 

• April 1, 2025 : Faculty begin getting access to course sections. Access is contingent upon faculty assignment completion in Jenzabar. Faculty who do not see their courses by Friday, April 4, 2025, should reach out to their program administrator.

• May 9, 2025: Students get access to course sections

• May 12, 2025: Term begins

Copy Content

The Copy Content feature is enabled for all instructors, which allows instructors to duplicate (copy) course content between Ultra courses. Faculty may copy individual course items or entire folders. Read more about the supported content types and step-by-step directions.

Guidelines to follow:

• Please be sure to maintain the integrity of master courses. This feature should not be used to copy over entire courses, and only to copy section/campus specific content. 
• It is highly recommended to get all content copied and courses set up before students start accessing the courses (Friday, Jan 10). It is not recommended to copy content once courses go live.
• The copy content feature should only be used between Ultra courses, and not from an Original (old version of Blackboard) course to an Ultra course.
