Guide - Zoom Meetings in Blackboard

Overview

Zoom Meetings has been integrated into Blackboard for the DPT Hybrid Immersion program. To use Zoom, you must have a Zoom license assigned to you. This guide will cover the Zoom Meetings in tool within Blackboard, including:

How to Get a Zoom License

Hybrid immersion faculty may be assigned a license in advance. To get a license, contact support@usa.edu.

Add a Zoom Meeting Link to a Course

Zoom Meetings Page Overview

Once a Zoom link is added and clicked, the following page will open:

At the top of the overview page is Home and Appointments. This allows you to swap between scheduling meetings for the entire course, or using the Appointments feature to create a bookable schedule. We will be reviewing the items on Home.

Schedule a Meeting

Click the Schedule a Meeting button to setup a zoom meeting. Recurring or one off meetings can be setup from here. Meetings will appear in the Upcoming meetings tab. Specific details on scheduling Zoom Meetings can be found here.

Four tabs appear below the blue Schedule New Meeting button.

Upcoming Meetings: This tab will show any and all upcoming meetings from your Zoom account, even if they occur from an outside course. 

Previous Meetings: This tab will show any any and all previous meetings.

Personal Meeting: This tab will show your personal meeting ID.

Cloud Recordings: This tab will show any and all cloud recordings.

In any of the tabs, check the Show my course meetings only box to only show sessions from the current course:

Start a Meeting

Once a meeting is scheduled, it will appear on the Upcoming Meetings tab. Each meeting will have a start button that can be used to begin the Zoom session:

Frequently Asked Questions

I am receiving the following error - what do I do?

If you receive the error pictured below (Error Code 2216), it means you do not have a Zoom license. Follow the steps above to get a zoom license.
