Add or Edit an Exemption for a Student

Overview

This guide will walkthrough what an exemption is, how to grant it to a student, and how to remove it. 

What is an exemption?

An exemption will excuse a student from an assessment. When exempted, the assignment will not effect the students overall grade calculation, which is useful for excusing students from graded work.

You can exempt a student from a given task in three ways:

• From an assessment's Submissions page
• From the gradebook Grades view
• From the student drill-down view
