Overview
Use this guide to learn about learning modules and how to create them. USAHS uses Learning Modules in the Course Content area of Ultra course masters to allow for ease of use and intuitive navigation for students. A learning module can be viewed as a container that houses an organized unit of learning content.
Create a Learning Module
- Hovering over the Course Content area. A line with a plus sign inscribed in a circle will appear on the page, indicating where the content will be located once added. When the line is positioned in the desired location, click the Insert/Create Item (i.e., plus sign inscribed in a circle).
-
Select Learning module from the Create Item panel. This will open the New Learning Module panel, which allows you to edit the title, change the visibility, add a description, or select Forced Sequence. Once you are satisfied with the learning module settings, select Save and the new learning module will appear in the Course Content area in the location you designated.
Learning Module Option - Forced Sequence
Learning modules let students navigate from one content item to the next without distractions or extra clicks. The setting Forced Sequence restricts students so they can only access content in the laid out order.
Enabled Forced Sequence (check) when you want to have more control over the order in which students view items in a Learning Module. Disable Forced Sequence (uncheck) when you want students to be able to navigate a learning module freely.
