What is a Dev Review course?
A Dev Review course is a read-only duplicate of a Dev Master course. It is automatically updated each night to reflect the latest content from the corresponding Dev Master.
How does this effect me?
If you're faculty, you'll be enrolled in Dev Review courses instead of Dev Masters. Any existing enrollments in Dev Master courses will be automatically transferred to Dev Review courses. There is no action needed on your part.
How do I access my courses?
Dev Review courses will appear on your Blackboard Courses page alongside your other courses. All courses contain the suffix (Dev REVIEW) in the course title.

What are Dev Review courses used for?
Dev Review courses allow faculty to view the most up-to-date version of course content without having access to edit it. Because they are refreshed nightly from the Dev Master, they always reflect the current state of course maintenance and updates.
What happens to Dev Master courses?
Dev Master courses remain unchanged. Only Instructional Designers and course developers have access to them.
When a faculty member requests access to a master course, they will be enrolled in the corresponding Dev Review course instead. Since the Dev Review course mirrors the Dev Master, faculty will see the same content they would in the Dev Master.
Dev Masters will continue to serve as the templates for the termly course copy process.
Why create Dev Review courses?
Dev Review courses provide a clean separation between content development and faculty review. This ensures that master course content remains secure and unaltered, while still giving faculty full visibility into course design and updates.
